Rescheduling FAQs

Given the recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the current status of COVID-19 in Illinois, the Board of Directors and Executive Staff, following several days of investigation and hours of deliberation has determined that we will no longer be conducting the Annual Conference at the end of April. The conference has been rescheduled for November 3-5, 2020 and will remain at the Peoria Civic Center and Peoria Marriott Pere Marquette. Our hope is to keep the same schedule of events and make your experience as seamless as possible. 

 Below are some answers to the questions you may have surrounding the rescheduling of the conference.

What happens to my Annual Conference registration?

For those have already registered to attend or exhibit at the Annual Conference, your registration and payment will automatically transfer to the November event – there is no need to get in touch. If you are no longer able to attend or your company can no longer exhibit with the change in conference date, please contact us at illinoisasbo@gmail.com to be issued a full refund for your conference registration. We appreciate your patience in this process as it will take a little time for us to respond to refund requests.

What about my hotel reservation?

Peoria Marriott Pere Marquette/Courtyard Peoria Downtown
Reservations made in the Illinois ASBO room block for the April/May event will be cancelled automatically. There is no need to call and cancel.

Other Peoria Area Hotels
If you have reserved a room at another area hotel, please contact your hotel to cancel your reservation.

For all hotels, please note that you will need to make a new reservation for November. We will notify you when a new room block is open.

What about the Midwest Facility Masters Conference in Wisconsin on November 2-3, 2020?

We realize that there is now an overlap in the scheduling for these two events and that this may present a conflict for some of you. However, we will provide options that allow you to attend both conferences.

For facilities professionals,
we will offer the discounted one-day Facilities Forum on Wednesday, November 4 at the Annual Conference, which provides the option to come to the Annual Conference for one day after the MFMC concludes.

For exhibiting Service Associates,
we are aware that this will be difficult, but we hope you can attend both conferences. The Annual Conference Solutions Marketplace will not open until 2:30pm on Tuesday, November 3 and exhibiting at MFMC will conclude on Monday November 2. We hope that you will be motivated to travel from one event to the other and join us for the opening of the Marketplace and all the networking we have planned in Peoria.


​Are you rescheduling the pre-conference events such as the Golf Outing, Legacy Project and administrator academies?

We are still in the process of having further discussions regarding the outcome of pre-conference events. For now, please note that these events will not be taking place as scheduled on April 28. If you have already registered for a pre-conference academy, you will be refunded.

I am scheduled to speak at the conference. What is happening with my session?

We are planning to run the same session lineup but realize that the change in date could present a conflict for some speakers. Watch for communication from one of our professional development coordinators regarding your session details for the conference.
